I can't see scenery after installing in MSFS

If, after you have successfully installed a Pilot Plus scenery, in Microsoft Flight Simulator you cannot see the product please follow the below steps. 

There is currently an issue where the simulator sometimes does not pick up newly installed products. 

 

To solve: 

  1. Locate your Content.xml file. This is in your root directory of your simulator installation. To locate this file based on how you installed:

     

     

    DVD version: 

    C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimDisc_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Content.xml

    Microsoft Store version: 

    C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Content.xml

    Steam Version:

    C:\Users\your name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Content.xml

 

  1. Open the Content.xml file in a text editor.
  2. If the Pilot Plus scenery is missing from the list, you need to add the entry for it.
  3. Add the line:
<Package name="pilotplus-egtb-wycombeairpark" active="true"/>

Load the simulator to see if the product loads.
